A recent grant to Tibetan Homes Foundation re-vamped the common room for elderly Tibetans in Rajpur old people’s home – making it a comfortable, welcoming place for them to spend their time.
You can see from the photos below what a difference this grant has made. Before, the 51 elders either spent their days sitting with friends on uncomfortable benches in a glum room or alone in their rooms.
Now they can enjoy each other’s company in comfort and they delight in being able to watch the Dalai Lamas talks and teachings on their new TV.
We believe that elderly Tibetans who have to live in homes should not be deprived of comfort, safety or dignity. The smiles on their faces say it all…
