Thank you to all of our supporters who took part in our first Meditate for Tibet event. Over 100 people joined in to meditate for Tibet, most at 3pm on Sunday 3rd July. This created a lot of positive energy and at the same time raised over £2,600 for our work with Tibetan communities.

We’re immensely grateful to everyone who took part – from those organising large-scale events to those who meditated alone and gave us a donation.

Gary Heads, a mindfulness teacher and trustee of Tibet Relief Fund, held an all-day event in the countryside near Durham and raised £750.

“It was a fantastic day. We had sound meditation with a Tibetan gong and singing bowls, two mindfulness teachers led a day of practice, and at 3pm we joined Tibet Relief Fund supporters across the country in a guided loving kindness meditation.”

Claire Murphy, a teacher of yoga and Tibetan meditation in Watford, organised an event where participants meditated for an impressive 108 minutes, split into three sessions. They raised a fantastic £738.22. Claire said “I am absolutely delighted with the result and the event itself was so much fun, albeit challenging at times!”
