Tibet Matters: Meditate for Tibet 2018

OVER £1,500 RAISED

The Dalai Lama’s birthday weekend was marked by beautiful weather, exciting sporting events and the biggest Meditate for Tibet yet. This year a record number of you across the UK joined to Meditate for Tibet on Saturday 7th July!

Over 100 of you downloaded our beautiful Tibet-focused guided meditation and seven groups organised wonderful events to raise money. Some groups are now doing this every year – thank you!

You’ve raised over £1,500 for Tibetans and sent a huge amount of positivity and love towards Tibet. Congratulations and thank you to everyone who joined in this year.

Fundraising stars

Jennie Bayliss
is walking 400 miles of the South Coast Path in July and August to raise money for five charities, including TRF!
So far she has raised £384 for us and is aiming for £2000. Jennie took on this challenge to celebrate turning 60, which coincides beautifully with our 60th anniversary next year.
Thank you Jennie!

Kesang Ball asked her friends and family to donate to Tibet Relief Fund for her birthday and raised a fantastic £160!

Peter Muffett, one of our dedicated trustees, cycled the hot and sweaty RideLondon Surrey 100 along with colleagues Naeem and Michael, and is on track to raise over £1,000 to help rebuild destroyed homes in Bakhang!

Finally, thank you to our Facebook fundraisers who have collectively raised over £800 this year by setting up fundraising pages for their birthdays!

These Small actions add up to a big difference for Tibetans – if you’re on Facebook, why not do your own birthday fundraiser? Just click “Create fundraiser on our page” and go from there.
