Empowering the Vision Project
Supporting Tibetan Youth living in exile in India to Build Independent Futures
Across Tibetan communities living in exile in India, many young people grow up facing uncertainty, displacement and limited opportunity. Despite their resilience and determination, barriers to higher education, employment and professional networks can leave talented young Tibetans struggling to build secure futures.
The Empowering the Vision Project (EVP) exists to change that — helping Tibetan youth in exile in India gain the confidence, skills and support they need to thrive.

Why It Matters
Many Tibetan young people living in exile in India grow up without the guidance, networks and opportunities that shape career pathways for others. Some have been separated from family from an early age, while others face the challenges of statelessness, financial hardship and restricted access to employment.
Without support, these barriers can lead to isolation, low confidence and long-term economic insecurity. EVP helps ensure that young Tibetans are not defined by displacement, but empowered to pursue their ambitions with confidence and dignity.
Opening Doors to Opportunity
EVP supports young Tibetans from school through to university and employment, helping them navigate pathways that can often feel out of reach.
Students take part in career guidance sessions, employability workshops and mentorship opportunities with Tibetan professionals from around the world. Young people also receive practical support with CVs, interviews, university applications and internships — building both skills and confidence for the future.
At the heart of the programme is a dedicated support hub in Delhi, providing guidance, connection and a trusted space for young Tibetans as they take their next steps into education and work.
The Difference It Makes
Each year, EVP supports more than 1,400 young Tibetans across India, helping them access opportunities that might otherwise remain beyond reach.
With the right encouragement and support, young people grow in confidence, strengthen communication skills and become better prepared for further education and employment. Just as importantly, they gain a sense of direction, belonging and belief in their own potential.
For many young Tibetans living in exile, EVP is not only opening doors — it is helping them imagine a future with greater independence, stability and hope.
Help exiled Tibetan youth build their future
For young Tibetans in exile, opportunity cannot be taken for granted. It must be actively created, nurtured and sustained.
With your support, EVP can continue helping young people access education, employment and professional networks — empowering the next generation to build independent, hopeful and self-reliant futures.
